Project “Tell Me and I will See You: Stories of Homeless Women”, NGO “VIS”
Our grantee, the NGO “VIS” (Vinnytsia), have prepared a photo exhibition and a documentary on the life of homeless women.
The situation of homeless women in Ukraine is hardly studied, it is unknown how many of them are on the street. A series of portraits and the documentary are an attempt to remind the public of these women, communicate their problems and needs without condemning them.
The documentary is filmed as an interview with six homeless women telling their stories. You can watch it below (with English subtitles).
The project was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Open Society Institute. It is part of a larger project “Let’s solidarize!” and was completed within the mini-grants programme that is administered by the Centre “Women’s Perspectives”.
