Developing plans of action based on the gender audit results helps to increase gender competencies of the organisation members. It also helps to introduce new working methods to increase the organisation’s potential and improve the quality of CSO’s programme activities.
The handbook “Gender audit for civil society organisations” includes a gender glossary, the principles of conducting gender audit, description of its steps and methods as well as examples of instruments that can be used or adapted for the audit. This publication can be useful for those CSO who would like to conduct gender audit as well as for formal and informal associations, networks or coalitions.
You can download the handbook here (available only in Ukrainian).
The handbook was prepared by the Centre “Women’s Perspectives” as part of the project “Establishment and Organisational Development of the Civil Society Hubs”. The project is supported by the UN Development Programme “Civil Society for Enhanced Democracy and Human Rights in Ukraine” and is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
